We Are Yacht Rock (the headliner band) brought the classic Yacht Rock experience to life. From the first song, the band had the audience engaged, delivering polished vocals, talented musicianship and the laid-back charm that makes Yacht Rock so beloved. In Space, No One Can Hear You Argue About the Timeline
| | | |
Between prequels, sequels, interquels, and corporate synthetic cover-ups, tracking the timeline of cinema’s most terrifying Xenomorph can feel harder than escaping the Nostromo. With Alien (1979) hitting the big screen at the Ritz Theater on Thursday, July 30th at 7:30 PM, let’s untangle the timeline so you can impress your friends at the concession stand.
Chronological Order Breakdown
- Prometheus — The earliest point in the timeline, exploring the origins of the enigmatic engineers and the mysterious black goo.
- Alien: Covenant — Set a decade later, showing the dark evolution of the Xenomorph at the hands of a rogue android.
- Alien — The original 1979 classic showing on July 30th! This is where it all truly begins, as Ellen Ripley's story kicks off aboard the commercial vessel Nostromo.
- Alien: Romulus — Slotted cleanly between the events of the first two movies, filling the gap before Ripley's escape pod is recovered.
- Aliens & Alien 3 — Ripley wakes up from her decades-long hypersleep journey to fight a swarm of creatures (Aliens), followed immediately by a rough crash-landing on a bleak prison planet (Alien 3).
- Alien Resurrection — A massive jump centuries into the far future, where a cloned Ripley is forced to handle a brand-new, hybridized biological threat.
See the Screenplay That Started it All! You don't need a spaceship to experience the ultimate sci-fi thriller—just a ticket to the Ritz. Come see the original, unfiltered terror on the big screen where it belongs. The air conditioning will be cold, the popcorn will be hot, and the tension will be absolute.

STAFF PICK Blade Runner (1982) Steven Waschka I have always been a big fan of sci-fi. And as an avid follower of the original Star Wars trilogy, it's hard not to be excited as a film releases starring Harrison Ford as Decker, the lead investigator tasked with policing the issue of replicant life forms. The realism developed by director Ridley Scott to craft a story on what would happen if we were able to replicate life, both human and animal, was extensive. The set designs take a deep dives into the future state of the planet's condition from population density and pollution and how we would function in the day to day. And, the cast of informants and suspects Decker works through to get his arrest are testimony to thought it took to develop the depth of realism painted into this story. Take a ride along with Decker to bring the illegal world of replicants to justice in this screen play take on Philip K. Dick's novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" | Image caption |
